About

SHADESOFREDD was founded in March 2008 by Shade and Redd. Their love for music and art became the foundation of their friendship.

On a Saturday afternoon Shade was eating some cheese-balls and randomly decided to text Redd out of boredom. The text said, “Yo , let’s start a clothing line named SHADESOFREDD, about how much we love music.” Later on that week, Redd walked into the apartment with a box full of t-shirts. The shirts had large text that said, “Music Defines Me.”

A few months down the road Redd received a phone call from a friend that wanted to buy one of these shirts. The friend wanted to wear the shirt to an upcoming concert. Shortly after that there was a new addition to the SHADESOFREDD family.

This close friend named Slowsky joined the superhero team and finally all the missing colors in the crayon box were found. A full masterpiece of art could now be created.

An urban clothing line was born, representing all individuals and artists who live by the quote, “Music Defines Me.”

As the SHADESOFREDD movement began to spread through communities, another missing color of the crayon box was discovered. Ry Ry, a Bboy/Freestyle dancer from Buffalo, showed his focus and determination to help SHADESOFREDD spread positivity and the love for music. To celebrate the New Year Ry Ry was proudly added to the family in 2009. Finally all four corners of the square were connected.

This clothing line is for anyone that loves keeping music a positive influence in their life. SHADESOFREDD funk-a-fies everyone’s taste. It is the only clothing line that you can wear 25/7. The logo, “Blastman” is a visual representation that every artist wants to express. It symbolizes individuality and self-expression on the go.
